Why We Built This Site
Public access can still be hard to route correctly. A docket is the chronological list of filings and proceedings, but the document behind an entry may require a different request. eCourt Kōkua searches the public statewide index. Legal Documents at Hoapili Hale handles nonconfidential Circuit files and the centralized Second Circuit copy process. District and Family clerks serve their own case types. The pages here arrange the verified search fields, case-number guidance, contact details, and copy channels around those real divisions.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: ways to read and search Maui County criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Case lookups: name, case ID, filing-date, and hearing searches in eCourt Kōkua
- Record requests: routes for court records, public terminal review, and clerk-certified copies
- Court dates: how to check hearing settings and confirm the newest filed notice
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to the Hawaiʻi Judiciary, its courts, or its clerks. Those boundaries mean it cannot:
- Retrieve an official case file or docket for a visitor
- Set, reset, or confirm a hearing date
- Seal, remove, or alter a docket entry
- Issue a certified order or court record
- Give legal advice about an individual matter
- Promise that a fee, schedule, or office detail has not changed
An official or certified record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the source file. A private reference page cannot issue one.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. Maui County Court Docket does not control a provider's matches, charges, or data practices.
